Questions About Creating an Order:
4. I am not sure what some of the listed options mean.
Color or Black & White
- Color: if there are any sections in the body of your job that you would like to appear in colored ink, select Color.
- Black & White: if all pages in your document should be printed in black ink, select "Black & White."
- First page Color, Other Black & White: if you would like the first page of your document printed in color but want all pages in the body of the document printed in black ink, select First page Color, Other Black & White.
Paper
- Select the paper on which you would like your copies produced.
- You may filter the available paper selections by size and type.
- Note that color icons may not represent the exact color of the paper.
Sides
- Double Sided (portrait orientation): copies will print on both sides of the paper. This selection is appropriate for pages with Portrait orientation.
- Double Sided (landscape orientation): copies will print on both sides of the paper. This selection is appropriate for pages with Landscape orientation.
- Single Sided: copies will print on one side only of the paper.
Collation
- Uncollated: copies will be organized by page number. For example, in a 2-page document, all copies of Page 1 will be together and all copies of Page 2 will be together.
- Collated: copies will be organized as a complete set. For example, in a 2-page document, each set copied will include Page 1 and Page 2.
Bind/Staple
- No Bind/Staple: copies will be loose (i.e., will not be bound or stapled).
- Coil Binding Black: each set will be bound with black coil binding.
- Comb Binding Black: each set will be bound with black plastic comb binding.
- Double Staple: each set will contain two staples on the left margin.
- Saddle Stitch: each set will be stapled in the center of the pages, and folded in half to form a booklet. Note that you should also select the Fold In Half option under Folding.
- Staple Upper Left: each set will be stapled in the upper left corner. This option is appropriate when all pages in the document are of the same orientation (all Portrait or all Landscape).
- Staple Upper Right: each set will be stapled in the upper right corner. This option is appropriate when the orientation of the pages is mixed (some Portrait, some Landscape).

- Drilling: if you wish to have your copy job produced on 3-hole paper, select Drilling. Note that if you wish to have your copies placed in a 3-ring binder, you must provide the binders to your selected Staples® Copy & Print Center, and pay for that option separately.
Cutting
- Cut in Half Horizontally: if you want your copies cut into two equal pieces horizontally, select Cut in Half Horizontally. Note that the total number of pieces yielded will be (Quantity you entered x 2) if this option is selected. For example, if you enter a quantity of 10 and then select this option, the total pieces yielded will be 20.

For example, if you enter a quantity of 10 and then select this option, the total pieces yielded will be 20.
- Cut in Thirds: if you want your copies cut into three equal pieces, select Cut in Thirds. Note that the total number of pieces yielded will be (Quantity you entered x 3) if this option is selected. For example, if you enter a quantity of 10 and then select this option, the total pieces yielded will be 30.

Folding
- No Folding: if you do not want your copies folded, select No Folding.
- Fold in Half (Booklet): if you would like your copies folded in half horizontally, select Fold in Half (Booklet). Note that you may also have the copies stapled in the middle along the fold, by selecting Saddle Stitch under the Staple/Bind section.
- Trifold: if you would like your copies folded in thirds where the front of the page folds inward (meaning that none of the content of the first page will be visible after folding), select Trifold.
- Z Fold: if you would like your copies folded in thirds where the top third of the page folds outward and the bottom third folds inward, select Z Fold. This option is helpful for products such as letters, where the addressee is shown on the top third of the page and must be visible through an envelope window.
